BC Liberal MLAs wear their Pink Shirts in recognition of Anti-Bullying day across the province.
Along with the Honourable James Moore, RCL 263 President David Fletcher and Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart, Iain attended the opening of the Earl Haig Senior’s Residence on February 19th, 2011.
Iain participated in a groundbreaking ceremony at Bramblewood Elementary. School District 43 is making space for 11 modular classrooms in preparation for another influx of full-day kindergarten students in September.
The province is paying for the $4.6-million project, which will bring one modular unit each to Lord Baden Powell, Alderson, Mountain Meadows and Riverview Park elementaries, plus two units to Rochester and Eagle Ridge, and three to Glenayre. With Iain are Tom Grant , Superintendent of School District 43; Melissa Hyndes, Board of Education Chair for School District 43; MLA Douglas Horne; Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart; SD 43 Board member Keith Watkins; and Port Moody Mayor Joe Trasolini.

Iain and his wife Chris celebrate BC Day at Robson Square. The festive mood was heightened by the fact that Alexandre Bilodeau became the first Canadian to win gold in Canada that day.

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008, was a special day for Tim Hortons store owners, staff and customers. It's Camp Day - the one day a year when every penny raised from coffee sales at participating Tim Hortons stores across Canada and the United States, will be donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation.

Iain celebrates a $7,500 grant from the Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance with staff from the Explorations summer program at Scott Creek Middle School in Coquitlam. The funds will provide inexpensive but nutritious lunches for young people from disadvantaged families participating in the Explorations summer break program. April 23, 2008.

Iain joined Port Moody mayor Joe Trasolini and staff to announce the city has received government funding to pursue twinning relationships with Asian cities.
Iain was happy to present a cheque for $50,000 to the city of Port Moody to help the city further its twinning relationships with Tanggu and Pinggu cities in China.
